After so much anticipation, preparation and excitement over the twelfth edition of Montreal’s Fashion and Design Festival, it’s hard to believe it went by so quickly! While I only went for two and a half out of the four days of the festival, it was an experience I will most likely be repeating next year. Day 3 was the most interesting and stimulating day for me, with shows from Die Young, Die Happy Productions, CEGEP Marie-Victorin, LaSalle College, and many more. And with a slightly edgier series of shows, I appropriately went for a slightly edgier look. I bought these pants at Urban Behaviour for a mere $15 back in May – sadly, the zipper completely broke just before I left my apartment, leaving me with my pants open for the entire set of shows! Luckily, I was wearing one of my favourite, 100% silk tops in spring’s hottest colour and shirt style: a mint, fishtail shirt. I’ve always been extremely impressed with the quality of silks from Aritzia – they wash and maintain their shape very well and come in so many gorgeous colours and styles! The pants from Urban Behaviour? Not so much – I’m rather disappointed that it will probably cost more to fix the zipper of my pants than the actual cost of them, but I guess that’s the risk you run with fast fashion.

My articles for Day 1 of Festival Mode & Design should soon be up on miss SLY!, but until then you can take a look at my pictures here on my Facebook page from the festival!
