And it has begun! I had so much fun at the first night of Festival Mode & Design Montreal (#FMDM12) on Wednesday night, with shows presented by LaSalle College, La Boutique, 5 Bloggers 5 Looks, and MyWalk. In! After skipping out on Day 2 on Thursday, I’m excited to head back downtown to McGill College and see what CEGEP Marie-Victorin, LaSalle College, and Die Young, Die Happy (D.Y.D.H.) Productions puts on tonight. I decided to go for a rather bold look on the first day of the festival, choosing a feather and silk skirt by Travis Taddeo that I’ve had my eye on ever since I saw the Spring 2012 collection last September. After months of hesitating, I finally bought the skirt at his sample sale last weekend, after much deliberation over whether I would get more than a one-time wear out of this epic statement piece. I originally made this an all-black look (black heels, bag, blazer, top), but I found that look to be too sombre for summertime. While my coverage for Day 1 of FMDM12 will be posted on Miss SLY!, keep an eye out here for Friday and Saturday’s coverage as well as more outfit posts!
