It’s been 2 days since I came back to Montreal, and I’ve never been happier. While the weather hasn’t been the greatest (look at all that wind whipping my hair and skirt in the above photos), it’s great to be back in this city. Yes, I miss home and my parents already, but I am more than ready for a new academic year here in Montreal.
Before I left Ontario, I stopped by Aritzia (quel surprise!) and picked up a few more gorgeous items that I can’t wait to show you over the next couple of weeks. One of those many items was this beautiful silk snakeskin maxi skirt. For the record, this was the first time in my almost 20 years that I ever wore a maxi skirt. Why have I been so hesitant towards trying maxi skirts? For most of my life, I was used to seeing maxi skirts on my mother and grandmother and never thought they worked for my age or style. However, on that fateful day in Aritzia, I decided it was about time to see if a maxi skirt actually looked good on me. Ladies and gentlemen, the rest as they say is history – I was sold on this skirt as soon as I pulled it on. What’s your take on maxi skirts? Would you wear them?
