Day two: without a doubt, this was the day I was most excited for out of the four days that comprise this edition of Semaine de la Mode de Montreal. Perhaps I should re-phrase that statement and say the main reason I attended all of the shows Tuesday was because Martin Lim, my absolute favourite designer from Montreal was the last designer presenting yesterday evening. Despite my eagerness for Martin Lim’s show, I was pleasantly surprised to see some other amazing collections yesterday that made the wait until 9:30 PM for the final show much more bearable. On the topic of all of the shows this week, I’ve decided to switch things up for how I’m reporting from Montreal Fashion Week: expect a long post by the end of the week featuring all of my favourite trends and runway shows.

As for my look, Day 2 was about going all-out: I decided to pair two of my favourite pieces from Australian brand Stylestalker together for a rather “out there” outfit by most people’s standards. You’ve seen both of these pieces before individually before (here, here and here), but I think they create an especially unique look when paired together. Looking for some extra height and always willing to embrace an opportunity to get out of winter boots and into high heels, I opted for these five and a half inch heels that made me feel like I had my head in the stratosphere. I won’t be at L’Arsenal tonight to report on Day 3 – sadly, as my Twitter handle reads, I live the double life of student by day, and fashion blogger at night. Even during fashion week, I can’t forget my day “job” and all of the responsibilities that come along with it.
