While it’s been 10 years since I left Ottawa, I somehow always find a way to go back to “Hogtown” at least once a year. This year, the opportunity arose through the wedding of a close family friend over the Canadian Thanksigiving weekend. This was the first time I had ever attended a big Greek wedding, and it did not disappoint in any way. Held at the Museum of Civilization (my favourite museum in the country) in Gatineau, Quebec (as seen in the pictures above).  Having never attended a wedding before, I wasn’t exactly sure of what to wear. In the end though, I went with my gut instinct and wore this gorgeous vintage 1960s dress that I bought off of Ebay years ago, but never had the opportunity to wear. Given that I knew there would be a lot of standing around and socializing, I decided to forgo a pair of stilettos and chose one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own (from H&M, no less!). Overall, it was a beautiful ceremony and a beautiful weekend to be in Ottawa. =&6=& =&6=& =&6=& =&6=& =&12=& =&13=& =&6=& =&15=&
