Since jeggings became a major trend about 2 years ago, I have tried many, many brands of all price points. J Brand, Citizens of Humanity, and Rag & Bone are just a few examples of the supposedly “better” brands I have purchased in the quest to find the perfect jegging. Overall, after many trials with various pairs and styles, I have been incredibly disappointed in the quality from J Brand and Citizens of Humanity. For nearly $200 a pair, these pants fall apart within months – I actually had to retire these J Brand jeggings because they’ve stretched out so much on the bottom and thighs. Given this past experience, you can only imagine my delight when I walked into Urban Behaviour and found a variety of coloured jeggings at the very attractive price point of $25-30 a pair. I picked up only 2 pairs, as I could only find 2 pairs in my size (who knows how many I would have walked out with if there had been more!). While I’ve only worn them a couple of times so far, I must say the quality is comparable to those of much more expensive jeggings. I would dare to say that these jeggings are significantly more comfortable than my more expensive pairs – always a plus!
I also couldn’t help but pick up a pair of these awesome, 5.5 inch platform heels from Urban Behaviour as well. Would you believe they were only $30 AND one of the most comfortable pairs I own? It’s true!
In addition to these wonderful, recent purchases, I also began trying out a lip stain I got at the Maybelline booth at Toronto Fashion Week (see my photos courtesy of the make-up giant here and here). I’m wearing Maybelline Super Stain 10 HR Stain Gloss, and while I would argue that it doesn’t last 10 hours, it doesn’t dry out the lips and does last several hours. I’ve never held a lot of interest in experimenting with lip make-up, but i must say I am warming up to the idea of a bold lip.
