The thought of putting on make-up some mornings can be too overwhelming. Usually, it comes down to because: 1) it’s too bloody hot out and slips off your face almost as soon as it goes on, 2) not enough time (breakfast always comes before putting on make-up), or 3) as I get old and withered up, I won’t have the opportunity to go make-up free. Monday was surprisingly a case of 2) and not 1) – and because of the cooler weather, I chose to wear this look to my internship on Monday, minus the heels and bag. For the day, I opted for these black flats and my favourite Longchamp Le Pliage bag, as those Dolce & Gabbana heels are deadly to walk in. As I finish up my last year at McGill this year, I’m beginning to contemplate what my workwear looks will be comprised of, and it’s a rather daunting task. How exactly does one dress appropriately, yet trendy? I’m still learning the ropes, and I’m sure it will take me many more years to modify and perfect, but I think I’m onto something with this look.
