Because life sometimes takes you to the side of the road. Or a side of the road photoshoot. Somewhere a few kilometres past the Ontario/Quebec border off of the 417 highway, I found the perfect place for a countryside photoshoot – something that I don’t get to do often while living in downtown Montreal. Having woken up at 6 AM to leave for Ottawa and have a full day there, I’m looking a little less than stellar in these photos as I was ready to fall asleep on my feet. For such a journey in a compact little Volkswagen Jetta, I chose my favourite J Brand pants and a billowy top that wouldn’t feel restrictive. I only brought one bag with me while in Ottawa, which is a huge accomplishment for me (anyone who personally knows me would describe me as a hoarding type of packer).
