I hope you all have a restful and enjoyable weekend. Mine was filled with catching up on some much needed sleep and going out of town to visit my best friend. Gotta love those summer days when nothing is holding you back from doing what you want. What are you filling the precious few summer weeks with?
I’ve been dying to show you all my wonderful T by Alexander Wang sweater (as talked about here)! To be honest, up until today I found that the sweater looked best with only tight jeans. Given that the weather has been SUPER humid the last couple of days, there’s no way I’m wearing jeans till at least September at this rate. However, the idea of wearing the sweater only with jeans was changed today when I threw together this look rather haphazardly – I had an urge to wear anything but pants and was dying to wear this sweater…so VOILA, outfit created. I personally adore the contrast between the chunkiness of the cotton sweater and the delicate fabric of the silk shorts. Everyone knows that I buy lots of my favourite pieces in duplicates (as seen here and here), so it shouldn’t surprise anyone when these shorts look awfully familiar to these ones. Do you buy clothes in duplicates, or do you prefer to have a varied closet with many different, unique pieces?
Also, in the rarely mentioned beauty section of this blog, I wanted to let you guys know I tried henna hair dye for the first time. It was EXTREMELY messy, but the result is so worth it. Having had my hair bleached three times to remove a horrible hair dye accident, my hair has been craving some non-chemical colour to even out the colour fading from the sun and the fragile nature of my hair. I used “Caca Rouge” by LUSH, and it really restored a lot of shine and beautiful auburn colour to my hair (you can see in my last post how fugly my hair was getting). I highly recommend it to anyone willing to get a little messy
